About The Program in Austin
Summer 2015 marked the first year of PGA Jr. League Golf in Austin. The First Tee of Greater Austin sported three teams – all in orange – named in honor of three Austin golf greats.
These three squads competed across three leagues against teams from The City of Austin, Twin Creeks, The Hills C.C., UT Golf Club and Falconhead for 6 weeks starting in May.
After the completion of the regular season, top players were selected to compete on an Austin All-Star team again other players in the region, state, and nation. The Austin All-Star Team made an incredible post-season run – winning the Texas Sub-Regional and advancing to the Regional Finals in late September in Broken Arrow (OK).
