This month, we have the pleasure of introducing you to two members of The First Tee of Greater Austin, sisters Jasmine and Bailey, and consider ourselves very lucky to have their beautiful smiles grace the program!
Jasmine, 9 yrs old, and Bailey, who is 7, joined TFTGA in September 2011, at the suggestion of their mother, who found us through our website, www.TheFirstTeeAustin.org. This spring, Bailey is in Coach Cyndi’s PLAYer class and Jasmine is starting a Par class with Coach Jeff. When asked what she’s learned at The First Tee, Jasmine cites good sportsmanship and says her favorite things about the program are “…the coaches and learning how golf is fun…”. When she tells her friends about what she’s doing here, she talks not only about learning to play golf, but also about the Nine Core Values.
Bailey says she has learned responsibility; “…don’t do something good because someone is watching, but because it’s the right thing to do” and tells us her favorite things at The First Tee are “…playing golf and learning new things”. And guess what she tells her friends? That not only do you get to learn to play golf and meet people, but also“…Justin Bieber plays golf”!
